Caylin my mom and wife were at the race today. Thank you all for your support love ya. Thank you Lord for a wonderful day. Savage Hill was well represented in this race. Thanks to all who came. I wish I would have attacked Jeff Braumberger just to see if I could get away! |

The field was tiny, maybe 17 or 18. But there was lots of horsepower. It was billed as a cat 2-4 field. But I think 1-2-3 is a more accurate description based on who was racing. After a series of attacks and breaks the winning move of 6 guys finally got away. Jeff Hobbs was solo of the front. Everyone was looking around at each other waiting for a chase to develop when this yellow streak goes flying by, far left side. It was Jeremy Grimm speeding off down the track. Braumberger responded after a few seconds. He got a gap, but the field started to reel him back in. Ryan waited patiently following wheels until the exact right moment. Just when it appeared Braumberger would be caught, Ryan jumped unleashing a chain reaction of events that I still cannot fully recreate. When the dust cleared Ryan, Braumberger, Busa, Grimm, Hobbs, and a Revolution guy were up the road. I was in the "field" which was shattered down to 5 guys. Thanks to my teammates up the road I was entitled to a free ride the rest of the race. It's a good thing because my legs were not up to much more. I took a few token pulls near the end of the race and then made attempt at the field sprint. I think I was 9th or 10th overall. |
